Add an Artist

The puropose of this tutorial is to describe the process for adding an artist to the soundcrank database.

Note: To verify that the artist isn't already in the database under a slightly different name search the database using alternate spellings.

Example: Searching for "The Eagles" doesn't return any artists but searching for "Eagles" does.

1. Verify that the artist isn't already in the database using the search function on soundcrank.com.
2. If no artist results are returned click add a new artist here to open a new edit artist page.
3. Enter the information about the artist.
4. To save the artist information in the database click save.

Now that the artist has been added to the database you can add albums associated with the artist. Add an Album Tutorial.
